| Waltham Playgroup
meets every Tuesday between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm at Waltham School Hall.
There is usually an average of eight children who attend. They try
to have one outing a term. Some of the outings they have had include
visits to Orana Park, the gondola, Lollipops Playland, picnics at the Gardens,
in to see Santa Claus.
There is total free play at the playgroup with parental involvement encouraged. They play musical instruments
and sometimes have face painting. The playgroup is coordinated by
Sally.
"We've only been here this term but the kids love it. The get new toys to play with and it gets us out of the house." - Heather, mother of Alan (2) and Kristy (8 mo). "Kristy loves it, she just sits and plays. She has just started crawling now so it will be interesting to see what she does now." "I wish it was more than once a week," says Jacqui, mother of Caitlin. "She likes to play with the house, the dolls, the puzzles." |
